NRA Basic PIstol Course - e-Learning Online PHASE I & In-House PHASE II
This class provides a review of what students learned in NRA’s on-line Basics of Pistol Shooting- Phase I, including rules of gun safety, operation of rim fire and center fire revolvers and semi-automatics, shooting stances, proper grip of shooting hand and support hand, five fundamentals of accurate shooting, sight adjustments, grouping shots, reading and scoring targets, and shooting exercises followed by shooters qualification levels. Some of the topics in the course also include: ammunition knowledge and selection, selecting and storing a pistol, the fundamentals of shooting, and pistol inspection and maintenance. 
       
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is a two-part course consisting of the E-learning portion, Phase I, to be completed online in your own time frame followed by a hands-on practical portion, Phase II, conducted in a classroom and subsequent LIVE FIRE portion (for applicable students) at a range under the guidance & supervision of an NRA-Certified Instructor.
   
The course is intended for all law abiding adults regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation.  Phase I must be successfully completed in order to enroll in the Phase II portion of the course. There are no course materials that are given except what is received via the NRA to you directly.
    
Successful completetion of this course enables a student to apply for a New York State Pistol Permit, New York State Permit UPGRADE to FULL CARRY & Conneticut IN or OUT of STATE Pistol Permit.
This class brings back the successful Instructor Led Training for an in house, in person Safety Instruction. Some of the topics in the course also include: ammunition knowledge and selection, selecting and storing a pistol, the fundamentals of shooting, and pistol inspection and maintenance. 
       
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Instructor Led Training consists of either a one (1) day FULL 8-Hour Session or two (2) Evening Sessions of four (4) hours each Session. Subsequent LIVE FIRE portion (for applicable students) at a range under the guidance & supervision of an NRA-Certified Instructor.
   
The course is intended for all law abiding adults regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. There will be Course Materials distributed in the Instructor Led Training of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course.
 
Successful completion of this course enables a student to apply for a New York State Pistol Permit, New York State Permit UPGRADE to FULL CARRY & Connecticut IN or OUT of STATE Pistol Permit.
